CAKE POPS! RECIPE

Cake pops





INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 Package cake mix (I used devil Chocolate cake mix)
  • 1 tub of frosting (you will not need the whole tub)
  • decorations of any sort (sprinkles, nuts, chocolate)
  • bakers chocolate (to melt and dip cake balls in)
  • lollipop sticks
  • styrofoam box (to hold cake balls to dry)
 1. Bake cake according to cake mix directions, let cake cool.
 2. Spoon cake into a big bowl and start crumbling
 3. Add frosting to cake crumbs and mix until frosting and cake crumbs stick together
 4. Roll cake/frosting to approx 1-1.5 inch balls
 5. Refrigerate balls for at least 1 hour, preferably 2 hrs - over night.
 6. Melt bakers chocolate (white or dark chocolate)
 7. Dip lollipop stick tip in chocolate, then insert stick into cake balls.
 8. Decorate accordingly and insert stick to Styrofoam box to let cake ball dry

after decorating the cake balls i refrigerated the cake balls.




Making cake pops for the first time was hectic.. I didnt use lollipop sticks, instead i used skewer sticks that you use for bbqs. This may have caused the cake balls to slide down..
Over all.. it was quite fun, i will definitely try to make different flavors next time!
